How does Gender affect the Teaching Profession?

 In the world of teaching, teaching has always been a profession full of females, even today! In many of my classes there's all girls and maybe 1 or 2 guys. When we talk about gender in the teaching profession, it can go beyond just the genders of teachers, it can go as far as how teachers handle gender. I remember reading about the difference of praise sometimes for boys, vs. the praise girls will get. Boys would get praised for their capabilities academically and girls would get praise for their appearance, which would often not give them a chance to show how capable they really are just as much as the boys. Recently it is interesting to see that the teaching profession is constantly growing and changing with gender, and I love it so much because it truly welcomes all and makes those select few students feel included as well!!
